Cows hardly perceive red light, so it is a perfect solution for lighting barns when workers have to work with the animals during the day when the cows have night. We know that cows need eight hours of darkness a day to rest well. This solution saves money and allows you to walk around or do work without disturbing the cows. Can be integrated into our INNOVA, FUTURA and PRIMA lighting systems. The lighting system can be implemented with luminaires that contain a white LED module for normal lighting and a red LED module, i.e. 2 modules in one luminaire. Or you can order a luminaire with only red light (1 module). The luminaires are resistant to the chemically aggressive environment typical of livestock farms (ammonia in the air). The body made of ABS and the diffuser made of AC have increased chemical resistance. In addition to protection against dust and moisture (IP66), the luminaires also have excellent heat resistance, withstanding temperatures of up to 50 °C. The fittings in our INNOVA product range, which are IP69 rated, can be washed in hot water (up to 80 °C). Concept RED … for efficient production The special red LED module can be integrated into the INNOVA ABS RED, FUTURA ABS RED or PRIMA ABS RED luminaires. More and more farmers are using red light in their facilities. Why? Because it has a positive effect on certain processes in livestock, such as: Biorhythm: The specific red light does not disturb the biorhythm of cows during rest, so that the staff can move freely in the barn and perform all tasks, including milking. Cows do not perceive red light at all. Fitness and health: Proper lighting, including optimal scheduling, can positively influence the overall fitness and health of animals. Metabolic processes: Red light can stimulate metabolic processes in the body and indirectly increase milk production.
